SSTL are pleased to announce that the Launch from Dombarovskiy Launch Site was successful, with separation from the launch vehicle occurring with accurate orbit injection.  Nigeria and the Nigerian Space Agency NASRDA is the proud owner of two more assets, NigeriaSat-2 with its 2.5m imager and NigeriaSat-X (manufactured by Nigerian Engineers in Guildford) with its 22m very wide area imager.

First contact was made with NigeriaSat-X and shortly afterwards with NigeriaSat-2, so it is going according to plan so far.  The first early images are expected within three weeks, with full operations within a few months.
